Boundary-Setting at Work

In today’s always-on work culture, setting boundaries is essential for well-being and team success. This trauma-informed course offers practical tools to reduce burnout, improve communication, and foster psychological safety at work.

Course Details

In a fast-paced, always-on work culture, it can feel risky—or even selfish—to say “no,” ask for what we need, or protect our time and energy. However, setting boundaries is one of the highest forms of self-care. It’s not about building walls—it’s about creating clarity, safety, and trust for ourselves and those we work with.

This session takes a trauma-informed approach to boundary-setting at work. We recognize that past experiences can shape how comfortable—or uncomfortable—it feels to speak up, and that not everyone has had workplaces where boundaries were respected or welcomed. Through this lens, we explore practical ways to identify, communicate, and hold healthy boundaries without guilt or fear. We discuss how to advocate for our own needs while fostering connection, respect, and psychological safety in our teams—and beyond!

Whether navigating burnout, people-pleasing, or unclear expectations, this session offers tools to help reclaim our well-being—because we shouldn’t have to sacrifice ourselves to be a valued colleague or leader. Through videos, interactive activities, downloadable tools, and reflection exercises, participants will gain confidence to manage workload, communicate with clarity, and create healthier workplace cultures.

What People Are Saying

I knew I wasn't great at setting boundaries going into this course, but didn't realize just how much I struggle with it. This has given me simple steps—and hope—that I can start taking more control over my time and energy at work and at home.

Our team took this training and now regularly use the glass/plastic metaphor when discussing priorities. It's also helped me look at the relationships in my life to determine which deserve more and less of my resources. Thank you!
