Personal accountability is being willing to accept the consequences resulting from our choices, actions, or behaviours.

With today’s everchanging workplace, teams working in a hybrid or remote environment and work related navigating projects, the skills of personal accountability for employees, emerging leaders and leaders is a key skills for team success.

High levels of accountability in the workplace, especially amongst leaders and emerging leaders, builds trust, efficiency, and psychological safety at work. Confidence in leadership is heightened when employees know that their leaders will take responsibility for their decisions. Accountability can help foster stability. Essentially, accountability can be a driving force for success and business resilience – and lack of accountability can be directly linked to failure in leaders as well as a business.

Accountability is a desire and a set of skills to take responsibility for results and resilience. Personal accountability is an attitude and choice about how to live and work. This interactive and practical personal accountability session uses examples of real-life workplace and business situations to identify areas that create a lack of accountability and build skills and behaviours for managers to improve personal accountability in their people.
