The Body Image Crisis in Girls

Girls report starting their first diet as early as age eight. There is no shame in feeling in over your head when you see a child struggling to love themselves or their appearance; everywhere they look, teens – especially girls – see impossible beauty standards.

They learn to believe their appearance determines their value in society, and their worth as growing women. Confident girls are mentally stronger, and develop healthier boundaries and relationships.
