Sabina Iurillo

Sabina (they/them) graduated Valedictorian of her Social Service Worker (SSW) class. 

They has been in the SSW field for over 20 years in many different capacities. This has included being an Employment Counsellor, Residential Counsellor, Parent and Child Counsellor, and a Youth Educator for a Violence against Women organization. 

Sabina currently works full-time for Family Transition Place where they have chaired both the Values Committee and the Inclusion and Diversity Committee.

Sabina was a part-time professor with Humber College for 4 years, and is now a part-time professor with Georgian College with the Faculty of Social and Community Services in the Social Service Worker program. 

They have volunteered with numerous organizations including Orangeville Police Services, local school councils, Orangeville Minor Softball and they currently sit on Dufferin County’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. 

Sabina’s passion is building a healthy and more equitable community.
