Mental Wellbeing in Your Hockey Life

Presented by ...

Teens & tweens need support with their mental wellbeing more than ever.  To support their players and teams, Metro West Force is requesting their players attend a level-appropriate session that will leave them with tools and strategies they can start using right now.

The session will introduce strategies within the hockey environment to manage stressors both on and off the ice. Players will learn about how to support their teammates, be kind to themselves during hockey and reach out for support from an adult when they need it. Strategies will be practiced with players in the session and local community resources will be provided to parents.

This session will be facilitated by Heather Beaton, a licensed Occupational Therapist who has worked with youth in mental health for 18 years.

If you have any questions about the session, feel free to reach out to MentalHealth@MetroWestForce.com.
