Boundary-Setting at Work

Discover why boundaries feel so difficult, explore the hidden patterns underneath them, and learn practical strategies for creating healthier relationships at work and beyond – starting with yourself

Course Details

Most conversations about boundaries focus on what to say, how to say it, and how to hold firm when others push back. While these skills are important, they often overlook a deeper question:

Why do boundaries feel so difficult in the first place?

For many people, boundary-setting is not simply a communication challenge. It is shaped by our experiences, relationships, workplace cultures, expectations, and our deeply human need for connection and belonging. These influences can make it difficult to ask for what we need, say no without guilt, manage competing demands, or advocate for ourselves with confidence.

This self-paced course takes a trauma-informed approach to boundary-setting at work, helping participants understand the hidden patterns that influence how they relate to others and why certain situations feel so challenging to navigate. Rather than relying on scripts or one-size-fits-all advice, participants explore the underlying dynamics that shape boundary-setting and learn practical strategies for creating greater clarity, trust, and sustainability in their work and relationships.

Through engaging video lessons, reflection exercises, interactive activities, and downloadable tools, participants will learn how past experiences can influence present-day boundary challenges, recognize common patterns such as people-pleasing, over-responsibility, and difficulty asking for support, and develop practical skills for communicating needs, limits, and expectations effectively.

Whether you're struggling with burnout, taking on too much, navigating difficult workplace dynamics, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and others, this course offers a fresh perspective on boundary-setting that extends far beyond learning how to say no. Participants leave with practical tools, deeper self-awareness, and a new lens for understanding the relationships that shape their work and lives.

What People Are Saying

I knew I wasn't great at setting boundaries going into this course, but didn't realize just how much I struggle with it. This has given me simple steps – and hope – that I can start taking more control over my time and energy at work and at home.

Our team took this training and now regularly use the glass/plastic metaphor when discussing priorities. It's also helped me look at the relationships in my life to determine which deserve more and less of my resources. Thank you!
