This module introduces you to the ideas and concepts that will help you better understand and contextualize the material in the instructor-led session. Its primary focus is on understanding behaviour and reactions we see in the workplace, where they may be coming from, and how you can create a safe work environment that offers team members the opportunity to engage and perform at their best.


You will learn:

  • A brief history of the evolution of the human nervous system & its fight, flight, and freeze responses
  • The Window of Tolerance and dysregulation
  • Self-regulation practices
  • Understanding our own triggers
  • Observable behaviours that indicate someone may be dysregulated (in flight, flight, or freeze) at work & what to do next
  • Acts of Safety – how to establish safety and trust through intentional acts that will build and maintain trust in teams and each other

    This module is approximately 43 minutes in length.
