A two-hour asynchronous course for leaders and teams
Soliciting & Receiving Feedback
Developing confidence and understanding for the toughest conversations...
Inviting and receiving feedback can be one of the most vulnerable—and valuable—practices in the workplace. For many, the experience of being evaluated or critiqued can activate deep-rooted feelings of shame, self-doubt, or fear. When we focus on feedback through a lens of psychological safety, we understand that these reactions are not signs of weakness, but adaptive responses shaped by past experiences—whether from earlier roles, interpersonal dynamics, or systemic inequities.
Advice we've been given to, "Focus on the facts, not your emotions", or, "Look at feedback as an opportunity for growth, not criticism" can be frustrating when we can't do that but don't understand why.
Understanding our own automatic reactions to feedback allows us to respond with intention. And this empowers us to convey our thoughts and perspectives in a way that is true to our productivity and values.
This course offers a thoughtful, empowering approach to seeking out and receiving feedback in ways that center safety, self-awareness, and agency. Participants explore how remain calm before, during, and after feedback conversations; how to frame requests for input that align with values; and how to separate feedback from personal worth. With reflective prompts and practical strategies, this course supports transforming feedback into a source of growth—not harm. Ideal for anyone looking to build resilience, deepen trust, and cultivate a feedback culture grounded in care.
