Session Details
Strengthen your capacity to lead in moments of pressure.
Leadership is often tested most in difficult moments. Tight timelines, emotionally charged conversations, competing demands, uncertainty, and workplace conflict can quickly impact how leaders think, communicate, and respond. In these moments, even experienced leaders can find themselves reacting in ways that feel disconnected from how they want to lead.
This session explores the foundation of effective leadership: leading yourself. This session helps participants better understand how stress, emotional triggers, nervous system responses, and past experiences shape leadership behaviour, communication, and decision-making under pressure.
Drawing on emotional intelligence research and practical workplace application, participants explore why emotional intelligence can become harder to access in high-pressure situations. Rather than focusing only on leadership strategies and techniques, this training helps leaders build awareness of the internal patterns that influence how they show up for others during challenging moments.
Through reflection, discussion, and real-world workplace scenarios, participants develop practical tools for responding with greater clarity, regulation, empathy, and accountability when tensions rise. Leaders explore how emotional reactions can influence team dynamics, trust, psychological safety, and communication, while strengthening their ability to navigate difficult situations with greater steadiness and care.
This session also examines the role of nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and a growth mindset in leadership development. Participants build practical skills for staying more present and intentional under stress while fostering environments where people feel safer to contribute, collaborate, and engage honestly.
When leaders are able to respond thoughtfully during moments of pressure rather than reacting automatically, teams experience greater trust, stronger communication, and healthier workplace relationships. This training supports leaders in developing the self-awareness and capacity needed to lead more effectively through challenge, change, and uncertainty.
PLEASE NOTE: Completion Certificates for 1.5 hours of professional development will be provided upon request. Please see FAQ below for additional information!
