Session Details
Conflict is inevitable. Help team members navigate it in ways that build trust, connection, and collaboration.
This session focuses on one of the most challenging responsibilities leaders face: helping others navigate disagreement, tension, and interpersonal conflict in ways that strengthen relationships rather than damage them.
Many leaders find themselves stepping into difficult conversations between team members without ever having been taught how to facilitate them effectively. When emotions are high, communication has broken down, or trust has been strained, leaders often feel pressure to fix the problem, take sides, or find a quick solution. Yet these approaches can unintentionally deepen frustration, increase defensiveness, or leave underlying issues unresolved.
This interactive workshop introduces practical tools and strategies for facilitating conflict conversations with greater confidence, clarity, and emotional intelligence. Participants will learn how to create conditions that support psychological safety, guide respectful dialogue, navigate defensiveness and escalation, and help individuals move from blame and frustration toward understanding and collaborative problem-solving.
Leaders will also explore the unique role of a facilitator, including how to remain neutral, support productive communication, and help team members feel heard and understood while maintaining accountability. Special attention is given to rebuilding trust after conflict and fostering healthier communication patterns that strengthen relationships over time.
Conflict is a natural part of working with other people. When leaders have the skills to facilitate difficult conversations effectively, teams become more resilient, communication improves, trust grows, and challenges can be addressed before they become larger workplace issues.
This training provides practical, immediately applicable tools that leaders can use to support healthier workplace relationships, stronger collaboration, and more constructive approaches to conflict across their teams.
PLEASE NOTE: Completion Certificates for 1.5 hours of professional development will be provided upon request. Please see FAQ below for additional information!
